Sorry it's been so long

I've been very lazy about posting this past week. I'm just enjoying my first week of vacation in Galway. Galway is great haven't been out shopping yet, trying to save that for London, but I have been wandering around taking in the style here and being very good about not going into any stores. It's been raining or threatening to rain since I got here so I haven't done too much. Went driving in Connemara which was great got some personal history instead of tour guide history, saw some beautiful sites and took a couple of pics, won't be able to post anything on here until I get home.

Fashion in Galway...tights with dresses, tights with long T-Shirts, tights with dresses and bomber jackets, tights with flats, tights with boots, tights with tights...you get the pictures. Tights are very in here and there doesn't seem to be any changes in the near future. Skinny jeans and wide leg jeans are still around as well.

Something I noticed when I was flying, there are many different types of airport fashion.

Comfort - yoga pants, Pj's, crocs, pretty much anything that you usually are never or rarely seen in public in

Everyday - what you would wear anyday, jeans, T-Shirt, sneakers, cardigans, etc

High Fashion - heels, dresses, lots of make-up, things that you would wear on a night out, etc

I fall into the everyday category, I know I'll be on the plane for a long time and want to be comfortable but still don't want to look like a total slob.

I'm heading into Dublin later this week and then onto London for a couple of days. I will hopefully be a little more frequent with posting.

There is a Flare shopping event at French Connection on May 5th you have to RSVP and if you are going get there early, last time there was a line-up to get in. Also good to do is a preview before the event to check if there is anything you'd like...there is a 30% discount for everyone that attends.

Packing and Markets

Why is packing so hard? For some people it's so easy but for me I really have to think about what I'm taking, lay it out a few days before it goes in the bag and if I can leave it out so I can look at the pile and edit or add. I don't have the room to do that right now which makes it even harder. I'm always asking myself do I really need that? will I wear it? or I will wear it but it takes up too much room. And then there are shoes....sometimes the most difficult thing to decide on, but once you decide the shoes the clothes decision is made easier.

I went through a tunnel today and tried to hold my breath the whole way through, I didn't make it. I remember when I was little and every single tunnel I went through I held my breath and made a wish, I don't think any of the wishes came true.

The last Sunday of every month there are 2 great markets to check out:

Portobello West Fashion and Art Market
Rocky Mountaineer Station 12pm to 6pm
$2 admission

Welcome to my blog!

I've thought about starting one for a long time but have always rejected the idea, I feel that I'm a reader not a writer. I wrote stories when I was young but most of them were for school. If you see any horrible mistakes or can't figure out what I'm trying to say, don't say I didn't warn you!

This is an eclectic blog about me and my many passions.

The first of which is shoes!!

The Army & Navy shoe sale begins April 22. One week of bargains on shoes...all equally fabulous! All of the Army & Navy stores participate in this event but I find the best selection is at the downtown store. You don't need to brave the crazy crowds on the first day, they put out new stock constantly, I have gone three times to the same store and have found completely different shoes each time. Check out the online flyer for a preview http://www.armyandnavy.ca/

I am almost glad I won't be in Vancouver for it since last year I bought 6 pairs of shoes in a weekend!

I will try and keep you updated of any sales, events, random fun things happening around town as often as I can.
